Today's spring break adventure was to one of our favorite on island restaurants - Laxmi - for a yummy curry. The kids LOVE Laxmi - an interesting blend of Japanese and Indian curries made in this small, family-run restaurant. The dad is Indian, the mom is Japanese, the son cooks his own recipes and the daughter waits tables. It makes for some yummy food that, as we found out today, is completely proprietary. London and Cannon thought it would be a good idea to ask for the recipes but the sister told us that even she doesn't know how to make the curries!
After Laxmi, we went on to another big park in the Awase area called Comprehensive Park. This is probably the largest park in Okinawa with a collection of beach, walks, ponds, playgrounds, sports facilities, etc.
The kids had a great time running around and playing - even Cannon who seems to be getting "too old" for a lot of things lately. It warmed my heart to see his kid-side come out as he chased London around, climbed, slid and bounced.
I guess daddy doesn't make the cut.....I was working!!
