Labor Day Fish Fry

So after Saturday's fishing trip, the neighbors had to use some of that fish and what better way than a neighborhood BBQ?  Oh man, did the guys out do themselves on all the various ways to cook tuna on a grill!  Shane's quinoa flour coated coconut oil deep fried fish nuggets were like eating candy.  Even John who claims he doesn't like fish, liked those.  And Stevie's tuna curry (albeit not done on the grill) was a huge hit!  Other ways included hickory smoked, marinated, seared and cedar plank.

I think the cedar plank caught fire!
And the sides and desserts were just as good.  Alicia's pumpkin pecan pie with whiskey butter was yum-o and Krimp's cookie dough cupcakes were a hit with young and old.  I think we might have to do a part two to our Lester Heights cook book - the grilling edition.

What a great way to end summer, start school,  and welcome new neighbors!
