Christmas Cookies

There's a program on Kadena Air Base that I heard about on the radio as I was driving along the other day called the "Cookie Caper".  It sounds like a huge effort planned by some people to make sure that all the single airmen, Marines and sailors who live in the barracks have some Christmas cheer.  So they ask for cookie donations from whoever is willing to bake to be dropped off on a certain day.  From there they package up the cookies and deliver a pack to every barrack room doorstep.  Kind of a cool idea, isn't it?

Well, the kids and I decided we could be some of the cookie bakers and hit the kitchen for a little baking.  I love working with the little ones in the kitchen, although the mess does seem to multiply exponentially when they're helping...

Of course, the best part of baking is getting to lick the beaters!!!
